In the area of Le Pas de Ceilhes, there is plenty to do. Various fun places and activities can be reached within 45 minutes.

Markets
- In the larger towns nearby, the market comes highly recommended. In Millau (50 km), there is a small farmers’ market on Wednesday mornings and a large market on Fridays where clothing, bags, and souvenirs can also be found.
- On Saturdays, there is a large market in St. Affrique (35 km) featuring delicious local dishes; aligot, organic vegetables, nuts and olives, cheese, and meat. There is also a flea market. The best parking is at Super-U, then it’s just a short walk.
- There is also a market in Lodève (40 km) on Saturdays, offering the same local products and a nice flea market.
- There are various flea markets in the area; check online for their schedules.


Climbing forest Millau
- The climbing forest of Antipodes is definitely worth recommending. From the age of 3, children can start with simple activities such as mini-courses, ground games, nets, and zip lines.
- There are more challenging routes available for both children and adults, with varying difficulty levels suitable for all ages and skill levels.
- From the age of 12, you can zipline over the Tarn by yourself, which is very exciting to do.
Via Ferrata Millau
- Looking for a mix of adrenaline, unspoiled nature, and breathtaking views? The Via Ferrata is the activity for those who want to get close to the rocks without being a climbing professional! Imagine a vertical walk along a rock face, secured to a cable and equipped like a true adventurer: harness, lanyards, helmet, and pulley. It’s fun and safe.
- The Via Ferrata is offered by Antipodes at two locations near Millau.
- Antipodes also offers activities such as canyoning, kayaking on the Tarn, and paragliding.


Fossil Hunt
- In the vicinity of the Guilhaumard plateau, many fossils can be found, such as small ammonites, squid points, and tiny shells.
- Ask your neighbors where to go and bring a hammer and tent pegs. After a rain shower, you will find the most beautiful things!

- Le Riverain in Les Rives – In this small-scale restaurant, chef Boris serves the most beautiful dishes made with local products.
- Le Grand Miniscule in Lodève – From small to large, with a Dutch pattern, simple tasty food, great to combine with a visit to the market.
- L’Esquirol in Ceilhes-et-Rocozels – L’Esquirol is not only a small supermarket but also a friendly restaurant where Lou welcomes you.
- Chateau du Lunas – Beautiful by the river, enjoy lovely dishes and friendly service on the terrace of the castle.
- Le Chat qui dort in Saint Affrique – Fun restaurant with mainly local dishes, friendly service that also lets kids enjoy the local delicacies.



Micropolis
- Micropolis is a theme park in Saint-Léons where you discover everything about insects. Inside and outside, you’ll find live insects, colorful butterflies, interactive exhibitions, and gigantic insect models.
- The walk through the “Carnival of Insects” offers both art and beautiful views of the landscape. You can also grab a bite to eat there.
- The theme park is located above Millau, 64 km away.
Ceilhes-et-Rocozels
- How do you get to Ceilhes? You can walk over the mountain, take the gravel path by car (only with a 4×4), mountainbike or walk along La Vèrenne, or drive via Le Clapier.
- At Café du Lac by the lake, you can enjoy a delicious pizza à la Auvergne or drink wine at this ‘non-alcohol’ restaurant.
- There is also a nice little supermarket with a terrace serving good food.
- In Ceilhes, there is often a market held on Sundays and occasionally a festival in the summer.


Around Millau and Tarn
- Millau is now best known for its high bridge over the Tarn. There is a visitor center at the foot of a 343-meter high pillar.
- If you take the old (toll-free) road to the camping from Millau, you will likely see paragliders showcasing their skills around the cliff.
- From Millau, you can go canoeing on the Tarn.
- Various nice restaurants and shopping options, both in the center and a group of larger shops to the northeast of Millau.
Labeil Caves
- In these caves, you will find the most beautiful stalactite formations.
- Take a short tour of the cave with a guide and see historical finds and the aging of cheeses.
- You can also explore on your own with a helmet and flashlight on the ‘cave safari’ where you go off the beaten path with a map; not suitable for those who are claustrophobic.
- A small restaurant and an extensive souvenir shop are also available.


Horse Riding
- Horse and pony riding is available nearby at Ecurie Qualina. This small riding school has had varying owners over the years, but the welfare of the horses has always been a top priority.
- It is possible for young children to take a short ride in the arena (a trial lesson) or to go on outdoor rides.

Roquefort
- Along the D93 by the Soulzon lies Roquefort, known for its salty, blue-veined raw sheep cheese. The manufacturers here compete to have you participate in cheese tours in the caves where their product is maturing.


Cirque de Navacelles
- Navacelles is the village that lends its name to the natural phenomenon Cirque de Navacelles, a funnel-shaped crater.
- The historic village is beautiful to view, and especially the drive there is impressive. Once you arrive at the bottom, you can relax by the stream and dip your feet in the water, or have a crêpe at the Crêperie.
- For the daring, it is possible to climb down part of the waterfall and take a plunge into the icy water.
Vélorail and Sainte-Eulalie
- This is a historic railway near Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon (30km). Part of the railway is covered by train, and then you return in your own cart that you must propel yourself.
- The route is dotted with impressive tunnels (12 in total) and viaducts (6 in total), offering a wide view over the Cernon valley and the medieval bastide of Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon.
- There are various options for different ages; partly by train or completely by train.
- In Sainte-Eulalie, you can feel like a templar knight, enjoy some drinks, and sometimes there are fun flea markets.
