Activities on the campsite

In the vast territory of Pas de Ceilhes – and just beyond – you can hike, swim, go to the sauna, and enjoy time together at the Presbytère.

Sauna

  • Enjoy a relaxing experience in the sauna on Wednesdays and Sundays (in season).
  • Our sauna is located at Pré de Marcassins, and can be accessed for a small fee.
  • After your sauna visit, walk across the field to the ‘dipping pool’ in the delightfully cold stream.

Jeu de boules

  • In the late afternoon, jeu de boules is regularly played on the jeu de boules court at the Grand Pré.

Presbytère

  • There is often something to do in the evening at the ‘Presbytère’, a walled meadow next to the farm. Here we eat together and you can make music and share camping experiences.
  • Campfires are not allowed due to the risk of forest fires. Therefore, barbecuing is only permitted at the Presbytère. Every Wednesday and Saturday, the fire is started there.
  • Upon request, you can use the wood-fired pizza oven; a restored bread oven.
  • Smoking is allowed here, please clean up your own butts.

Yearly tradition

  • Every year, of course, Quatorze-Juillet is celebrated, usually in the Presbytère.
  • There is also ‘Potje-potje’: everyone who eats together shares a self-prepared dish. It’s always a wonder to see what soups, dishes, and desserts can be prepared under primitive conditions.
  • Soupe au pistou is a regional meal soup; a vegetarian basil-garlic soup. Prepared together, eaten together, a fixed tradition every year at Le Pas de Ceilhes.

Salle des jeunes

  • Next to the large hall of La Ferme, there is a smaller room where the children are in charge. Occasionally, a children’s disco is organized here, and a table soccer is available.

The old farm: La Ferme

  • In the large hall of the farm, we sometimes organize evenings where we play table tennis, sit by the fire, or make music together.
  • There is also a piano, a shuffleboard, and we occasionally watch old slides.
  • Everyone brings a drink and we have a nice evening.
  • Or take a look in our library with good French and Dutch books.

Swimming

  • Take a refreshing dip in the water in the unmonitored pool, fed with cool spring water from la Vérenne.
  • For the little ones, there is a shaded toddler pool where they can play freely with water toys and a garden hose that provides spring water.
  • On the grassy area next to the pool, you can lie in the sun or shade, play games, chat, and craft.
  • Swimming is only allowed nude; without swimwear.
